Welcome to my homepage!  I am so excited to be teaching math !  Here's the scoop about me!

I am a native Mississippian and always cheer for the University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagles, New Orleans Saints,

Atlanta Braves, Bryan Lions, and of course for the Rhea County Golden Eagles.

My husband, Scott is the Assistant Dean of Discipleship and Christian Formation at Bryan College in Dayton. We met in college and have been married for 25 yrs.

We are the proud parents of twin college seniors, Hannah and Seth. Hannah attends Anderson University in Anderson, South Carolina and Seth attends Carson-Newman University in Jefferson City, Tennessee. They will both be doing their studen teaching this year.

We also have an awesome Chinese Pug, named Pokey. You'll find his picture on this website.

I enjoy reading, playing the piano, cooking- especially Chicken Spaghetti, and watching Food Network, History Channel and the Travel Channel,.

Our family went on a cruise to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, the Grand Turks, and St. Thomas four summers ago to celebrate the high school graduation of our children. The beach is one of my favorite places!

To celebrate our 20th anniversary, my husband and I went to the Mediterranean. We explored Rome,

Venice, Monte Carlo, Athens, Barcelona, Croatia, Florence, and Pisa. We even walked up the Leaning Tower of Pisa!

This past summer my husband and I for our 25th anniversary went on a cruise to St. Kitts, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Barbados, St. Thomas, and  St. Lucia. I brought back an unexpected souvenir, I broke my left ankle!

You'll find pictures of these places on my website.

As a family we've also gone to Alaska, Myrtle Beach, Cozumel, Orange Beach, and on mission trips to Nicaragua, Mexico,

Poland, Russia, New Orleans, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

I really enjoy teaching the STEAM subjects of science, technology, engineering, art, and math while planning exciting hands-on activities for my students. My students are fantastic! Look for pictures of the projects we do on this website.

Whether it is through songs, hand motions, or cutting and pasting, I want my students to leave the classroom knowing that

STEAM activities can be  FUN, CHALLENGING, and IMPORTANT to their future.

Math Classroom Pledge: I am special, You are special, I am ready to learn, I am going to learn, Whew! I'm good!

Math Launch: Don't leave without learning!

Math Motto : To LEARN a truth you must LIVE the truth or you LOSE the truth !
